GF Piping Systems has introduced the full-bore, magnetic Signet 2580 FlowtraMag™ Meter designed specifically for high accuracy flow measurement in short pipe runs. High accuracy is achieved for these problematic runs with a new sensor design that has shorter inlet and outlet pipe length requirements and certified factory calibration.

 

An all thermoplastic construction provides superior corrosion resistance for a long, maintenance-free service life. Available in pipe sizes of 1”, 2”, and 4” PVC Schedule 80, the 2580 FlowtraMag is two to three times lighter in weight when compared to traditional metal magmeters on the market. The unit offers an accuracy of ±1% of reading and repeatability of ±0.5%.

The 2580 provides streamlined monitoring and complete versatility via the meter’s broad communications capabilities across multiple platforms. These include:

• Digital (S3L)
• Frequency
• Analog 4 to 20 mA
• Smart Phone/Tablet (Bluetooth®)
• PC (Digital S3L) via the 0252 Configuration Tool, DCS, PLC.

Visual LED indicators make sensor status clear and easy to read. Unlike other meters that can only connect to flanges, the 2580 can connect to union ends in sizes 1 & 2 inches and flanged in 4-inch.

Users can quickly configure and calibrate the 2580 to the parameters required for their system using the GF Configuration Tool Bluetooth® App. After customizing settings for averaging, low flow cut off, span the 4 to 20 mA output, users can then monitor the 2580 on their Android or iOS device. The new flow meter is designed for a wide range of applications and industries.
