GF Conductivity Sensor Consolidation and Product Transition

Ryan Herco Flow Solutions (RHFS), an authorized distributor of Georg Fischer (GF) Piping Systems, is notifying customers of an important conductivity sensor update.

GF is officially retiring several legacy conductivity and resistivity sensor families and transitioning to the advanced GF Signet 2881–2884 conductivity sensor series. This change is part of GF’s long-term plan to simplify its product line, enhance accuracy and reliability, and ensure continued support for modern industrial and process applications.

Which GF Conductivity Sensors Are Being Retired

Effective immediately, GF is consolidating several sensor families:

  • GF Signet 2870–2874 Series → Officially retired
  • GF Signet 2819–2822 Series and 2839–2842 Series → Moving into the discontinuation phase

A Last Time Buy window will open in Q4 2025, allowing customers to place final orders before support ends at the end of 2025.

Recommended Upgrade: GF Signet 2881–2884 Conductivity Sensors

GF 288x Family of Sensors
GF 288x Conductivity/Resistivity Sensors

Customers are encouraged to transition to the GF Signet 2881–2884 conductivity and resistivity sensors, which offer:

  • Improved measurement accuracy across a wider conductivity range
  • Simplified installation and calibration for easier system integration
  • Full compatibility with GF 2850 sensor systems
  • Modernized design suitable for OEM skids and updated process systems

For compatibility planning, review GF datasheets for the 2818–2823, 2870–2874, and 2881–2884 series or contact RHFS for assistance.

Key Dates and Lead Times

  • Now – 2870–2874 retired; 2819–2842 series entering phase-out
  • Q4 2025 – Last Time Buy period opens
  • End of 2025 – Final support window closes

Estimated lead times:

  • 2819–2822 sensors → up to 40 working days
  • 2839–2842 and 2850 systems → up to 20 working days

GF will continue to produce select 2818 and 2819–2823 conductivity sensors with special alloy and tri-clamp configurations for process-critical or sanitary applications.
